“ My wife and I have just been into Maison Noir in Hadleigh for lunch. It's so tranquil and relaxing and there is an outside dining area when the weather is better. The staff are absolutely lovely, everything was spotlessly clean and tea is served in proper China cups. The sandwiches were delicious with a good amount of really tasty filling, served with a side salad and crisps included. They also sell cards and small ornamental signs. Cakes are home made and I can assure you you'll love them. They have currently decorated with some Halloween items for October. There is a toilet cubicle to the rear which was also clean. Parking can be an issue in Hadleigh at busy times but you can park in Lidl's, just check on their restrictions to avoid a ticket! We would definitely recommend Maison Noir, well done to all the staff please see my pictures ”

“ Great little coffee shop/tea room in Hadleigh. With its ecclectic decor and excellent food, this place should be on everyones 'to do list.' Having lived in Hadleigh for years, I have been to Maison Noir on many occasions and the experience is never short of excellent. The cakes are fantastic and the service is top notch. Make sure you pop in. Edit as of 07/07/2020, post Covid hoax ridiculousness, Maison Noir has still retained much of its former charm. The dining room looks a little more sparse, due to no cutlery and finery being allowed on the tables, prior to diners arriving, but the staff are still lovely and the food is still delicious. I am deducting a star however, due to the hike in their prices. £9 for a jacket potato is well and truly taking the p***, even for Leigh ”

“ This place has been here since 2012, it's quite close to where I work. Almost every time I pass by here the place is full. I went in there recently for afternoon tea and I can see the reason why it's full, it was excellent. ”

“ Visited for breakfast on a Saturday morning with my lady. Many Christmas decorations greeted us dangling from the ceiling in the smartly appointed dining room. All staff we encountered were polite and offered a relaxed & warming atmosphere. Scrambled egg on toast Full English breakfast Pot of tea Mint tea Very good fare and we cleared both plates with ease, everything was cooked well & enjoyed. We also took some slices of home made cake home with us. The soft sponges and thick butter cream were divine and the host assured us their hand made nature. Ginger cake Carrot Cake Raspberry & Coconut cake ”

“ Fabulous eatery! Delicious English food - freshly home made! Best soup ever - l jokingly asked for the recipe but l think they would have to kill me if l knew their secret. “ My wife añd daughter had afternoon tea yesterday which they really enjoyed. Best in the area for selection of sandwiches and really lovely atmosphere. My daughter preferred Maison Noir to another local establishment. Would definitely like to return but the only query is although the menu states that it costs 20 pounds per person, my wife was charged 22 pounds each when she purchased the voucher in December? ”

“ Excellent selection of home made cakes. My husband and I have just been into Maison Noir garden in Hadleigh enjoying our breakfast. It's classy and relaxing. Beautiful decorated and the tables are fantastic dressed up. I love it. Staffs are absolutely lovely and attentive. Spotlessly clean and tea is served in proper China cups with handles!!! The eggs and toasts were delicious, but unfortunately the bacon was very well done as we ordered. CAPPUCCINO were probably one of the most delightful we had ever tasted. They also sell cards and small ornamental signs. Definitely coming back and recommend. ”

“ We rented Mason Noir for an event, and they were wonderful. Maxine was so helpful and responsive and made our event absolutely perfect. The cakes and sandwiches were delicious and super fresh and there was loads of tea, coffee, Prosecco and soft drinks to go with it all. We’ve also been here for lunch before and it was an excellent experience then too! ”
